RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive
What is RoHS Directive?
RoHS Directive refers to Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Amendment to the RoHS Directive
In Directive (EU) 2015/863 published by the European Commission on June 4, 2015, four phthalates (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIBP) were added to the list of restricted substances, increasing the total number of restricted substances from six to ten (hereinafter, referred to as the "10 RoHS substances").

DIBP(Diisobutyl phthalate) | 0.1wt% (1,000ppm) | Newly added |
The effective dates of the restriction of above four newly added substances depend on the categories of EEE set out in Annex I.

Restriction of 10 RoHS Substances in CKD Component Products
The restriction of the 10 RoHS substances applies to all electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and their components, but the effective date of the restriction depends on the categories of EEE defined by the European Commission.
With respect to CKD component products, we started restricting the use of the 10 RoHS substances in April 2019. If you require a CKD product in which the 10 RoHS substances are restricted, please specify "10 RoHS substances restricted" when ordering.
[Categories to which our electrical and electronic products belong]
Most of our products are classified as “industrial monitoring and control instruments” of Category 9, and the restriction will go into effect on July 22, 2021. (Some products fall under category 8.)
[If your equipment falls under any category other than 8 or 9]
Please note that the restriction of 10 RoHS substances has been in effect since July 22, 2019, and any CKD component product that is used in your equipment is subject to the restriction.
*CKD component products with no electrical or electronic element are also subject to the restriction.
